Club Mahindra Varca: Awesome place to stay in South Goa

This is a huge property, but is always running full.  It is also one of the best properties maintained by Club Mahindra, and because of its popularity and increasing crowd, it definitely needs to be expanded. The rooms are very clean and spacious (bathrooms can be a little wider), but the view from most of the hotel units is not that great.  The food spread is extravagant and awesome, ambiance is too excellent. There is a Jain counter as well in the main restaurant 'Tamara'. The service, be it the room service or the the housekeeping is quite prompt and you will not be disappointed with the quality too.
The taxi charges from the airport or the railway station are too high and you do not have other options, but use them. Same thing holds good for sight seeing rates as well.  The activities and entertainment are abundant that you would not mind spending your time in the resort (if it is a 2nd visit to Goa), the pristine beach, or the dazzling pools. Kids have a gala time at the fun zone with the Dune Shack restaurant annexed to the zone or even the well spread park. True to the Mahindra timeshare tagline, this is a complete 'family' resort.
The resort is close by to all the south-Goan beaches. Hire motor bikes for these short trips and take a pleasure ride around the serene and unruffled south Goa.
Room tip: If you are a member, then insist on getting  a studio, for a better view.
Book in advance (6 months), else we end up settling for a less rated property. We ended up at The Goan Village this time (our last visit was in Sep 2009), since I did not plan in advance.

Olives Homestay - Memorable stay at Waynad

It was really a pleasurable trip and a memorable one. We had very good hosts in Biju and Raji Thomas, who took very good care of us on all the days we were there. Raji is an excellent cook and the sumptuous Kerala cuisines that we were served were just amazing. The hospitality was excellent and the atmosphere was very homely, truly justifying the meaning of a homestay. The hosts provided us with all the worthwhile places to see at Waynad. Biju and Raji have taken care of every minute detail while designing their beautiful home and it is a blend of traditional and modern concept of Kerala construction. The rooms are clean and well maintained, very cozy to rest and laze. Every meal that was served was so elaborate and delicious that we definitely have to check the calories gained, must add that Raji is extremely efficient in managing their home and the guests. I recommend the Olives for members who would want to have a complete homestay experience in Waynad.
